Psalm 127:1 - Thinking Thursday

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1 KJV Imagine, after your life is over, being in a hall with a throne. In that throne is the Lord Jesus Cnrist. You see a huge mansion in the room. You ask, "What is this?" The King answers, "All your works on earth." Then Jesus lights a match and throws it on your house of works. You watch sorrowfully as everything save a small burnt room burns into great ash. "JESUS, WHY DID YOU DO THIS?" you ask. Jesus replies, "Child, my servant Paul said that your works shall be tested with fire." "Okay, but why did everything burn?" you reply in wonder. Jesus answers your question, "Did Paul not tell you that unless I build the house, you work in vain?" This verse has many truths in it. We need to work in the will of God. What happens when do not? Paul describes or world's as a house. Whatever we do, it builds a house. We have two place we can build on: the foundation of Jesus or the sand of ourselves. When we build on Jesus, build of fire proof materials. When we build on ourselves, we build with flammable items. Do you want a house of gold and silver or a house of wood and dirt. The other part of the verse is supports the first part. If God is not with you, you work in vain. Vain means not using the full potential of something Good has given you making it count as nothing. When you are outside of God's will, your works for Him are nothing and will be incinerated on Judgement Day. Think about it for today is Thinking Thursday. I encourage you to think about what you are doing with your life right now. Is it in God's will or not? If it is, great! If not, pray and ask the Lord what He wants you to do with your life. THANK YOU! GOD BLESS YOU! AND GOD BLESS AMERICA! Jeremiah Yonemura
