Psalm 126:3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
Have you ever been in a time of prosperity or sorrow? What about when times are just fine? Do you ever forget to be happy for what you do have? Well, according to this verse should be glad for every great thing God has done for us. If you think about it, every work the Lord does is marvelous, glorious, and wonderful. You might be thinking, "God has done great things for Israel, but He hasn't done anything great for me." If you are not thinking that, great! If you are, let me give a few examples: he saved you from eternal damnation, you are breathing, and you have the sight or hearing to read or hear this blog post. There is a lot to be thankful for. I only listed a few.
When we are doing as well as can be or just fine, we often enjoy life so much that we forget to praise God what He has done in our lives. Unfortunatelny, if we are in misery, we think about how melancholy life is instead of what extraordinary things the Lord is currently and had done for us. So, brothers and sisters in Christ, let us thank God for everything He has done and is doing to work for our good.
Today I am naming Working Wednesday. I encourage you to work on seeing what God is doing in your life today and afterwards. I also encourage you to pray throughout the day thanking God for His unending love and the great things he has done for you because of that love. When you thank God, you praise Him; when you praise Him, you will feel glad therefore fulfilling Psalm 126:3. Have a blessed Wednesday.
