Have you ever been in a fight or been in a agument. I have, but what does the Bible say about having a fight about something? The verse says it right here. This verse can be hard to understand. Let's paraphrase it. Let us be patient with one another forgiving each other if we have have a fight or an argument just as Christ did for you.Let's go over what forbear means. In this context, forbear means to be patient with each other, not being rude or disrespectful to your brother who you have a quarrel with. A quarrel is a fight or an argument. Forgive means to let go of the an offense that has been committed against you. This is a small verse, but there is a lot in it. We should not have fights it with each other, but when we do, we need it to be sure to forgive the other person. If we do not, we will harbor offense, and the Father will not forgive us. So this is very serious. Paul says to forgive one another because God forgave us. He made a valid point. I am young, but I have had a lot of arguments in my days. I am no different than any other Christian. I still need to forgive. It has been very hard at times but it is a necessity.We can miss out on going to heaven by refusing to forgive others. I read this book called The Bait of Satan by John bevere. John bevere talked about how this person went to hell and saw his mother burning because she had offense in her heart. Do you see how important it is to forgive now? I hope you do.Today is Seeking Saturday. I encourage you to seek your heart for any offense that you might have in your heart because you had a fight with somebody. I encourage you to forgive that person like Jesus. Forgiveness will set you free from offense, and remember, Jesus forgave you.
